Feels like the ground is shifting under your feet?

Especially if you work a white collar job. AI is reshaping industries faster than anyone expected—and if you’re not adapting, you’re at risk of being left behind.

If you’re Gen X (like me), you’ve seen this kind of disruption before. You know how to pivot. You know how to build. And today’s tools—especially AI—can help you build a future-proof career you actually want.

This week’s mixtape is loaded with insights, tools, and even a few laughs to help you take back control.

How to Stay Relevant as AI Transforms White Collar Work

Here’s a great discussion on Peter Diamandis’ Moonshot podcast. It featuring a few dudes that are way smarter than me talking about what’s coming next for white collar jobs.

There were two big takeaways from the video.

    1. “The end of white collar work” is a lot closer than you think.

They’re not talking about some distant future. One guy points to 2029 to 2031 as the moment it all shifts—and says 2026–2027 will be the real storm:

“The amount of job dislocation in 2026–2027 is going to be like nothing we’ve ever seen.”

By not teaching people how to use AI, you’re leaving them behind.

“You’re condemning people to be sitting ducks.”

    2. Entrepreneurial Thinking = Future-Proof Mindset

Peter Diamandis put it perfectly. When asked if magical-level tech ever makes him feel less motivated, he said:

“No. I’m an entrepreneur. I just dream bigger every time there’s more capability handed to me.”

That’s the shift. It’s not about doing everything yourself. It’s about using the tools to dream bigger.

Here’s the video, this part of the discussion takes just 10 minutes of your time and it is well worth it (start at 1:09:00):

Controlling the AI Swarm Might Be Your Real Job

This idea isn’t new, but it’s really starting to come into view.

One of the very first AI courses I took back in 2023 talked about this concept of being your own Chief Robot Officer (like a CEO, CMO, COO, etc)—someone who knows how to divide labor between AI and human tasks.

    Now it’s becoming real.

In a recent video, Wes Roth talked about the orchestration the AI’s is our future and dropped an interesting stat that caught my ear and jives with end of white collar work prediction above…

“the length of tasks AI can complete is doubling every 7 months.”

AI Tip of the Week: Making Your AI Human (Before It Makes You a Robot)

    Here’s the part I’ve been wrestling with…

Yes, AI helps me get things done faster.
But it can also suck the soul out of your content if you’re not careful.

This video was a good gut check. It had some great tips on how to keep your writing (and business) human—even while using AI.

Use images and video to bring people into your world.

Something I need to do more of. And I’ve been noticing this on LinkedIn. The posts where I include my face—photos, videos, anything visual—perform better.

Maybe this is the nudge I needed to stop overthinking video and just do more of it.

On the flipside, here’s what it looks like when AI gets TOO human…

Don’t Buy Stuff from Old AI People

This one made me laugh and cringe.

Scammers are now creating AI-generated old people to pitch $0.99 watches for $50. The wild part? The website and ad campaigns are REALLY good—great storytelling, great hooks, killer social proof.

Which makes it even sadder. Because these same people could be crushing it with real products that help folks.

The tools are powerful. But the intent still matters more.

Watch how they are pulling this off (and see how the video hosted messed with them).

Music of the Week: Uncle Jesse Goes Nu Metal

The Drumeo YouTube channel takes pro drummers, strips the drums out of a song they’ve never heard, and says: “Okay, go.”

This week’s pick? John Stamos—yes, Uncle Jesse from Full House—trying to play a Papa Roach song on the spot.

Did you know the guy played drums with the Beach Boys?

It’s worth a watch. It shows there’s more than one way to do something… and yes, you can teach an old dog new tricks.

    Final Takeaway

The pace of change is nuts right now.

White collar work’s future is on the clock.
AI tools are growing by the week.
And even Uncle Jesse is trying new things.

The only real job security left?
    Stay curious.
    Stay human.
And build something of your own.

You don’t need to become an AI expert overnight.
But you do need to stop waiting for permission.

Your second act won’t write itself.
